What defines the “age” we live in today? One thing clearly says that we’re in “the last days.”

Paul told Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:3

“For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.”

I think you can agree… we’re in that time.

This is another lesson in the cult series…

What is a cult? It’s really an “unorthodox” religion or institution of people that are led by false or misleading or just plain “false” doctrines which are contrary to orthodox scriptures.

In other words, “People that follow that which is not true according to what the Holy Scriptures say.

Are Muslims an “unorthodox” religion? Yes. Are Jehovah Witnesses? Yes. Are Mormons? Yes. Are Buddhists? Yes. Are Hindus? Yes. Are some “so-called” mainstream “churches” a cult? Yes.

Why do they exist? Why would anyone participate in a false doctrine or religion? They simply don’t know the truth or refuse to receive the truth, and therefore, fall prey to those false teachers of false doctrines.
